Next Generation

We empower and educate tomorrow’s pioneers by connecting them with today’s leaders. Given the tools and support to pursue their passions, young ranchers, beef professionals and chefs can ensure the entire beef community remains relevant in the future and poised for growth.

Young Chefs Learn From Young Farmers

Recent agriculture graduates Drake and Sally Yon, siblings from Ridge Spring, S.C., journeyed to Johnson & Wales University, Providence, R.I., to visit with 200 future chefs. The young ranchers shared how beef is raised on their farm and the importance of consistency from gate to plate. “The beginning of the supply chain starts with Angus producers, but our success is determined by consumers’ positive eating experiences,” Sally said. “Chefs play a huge role in this. It’s a win-win situation for all parties because of the consistency and quality of Certified Angus Beef ® brand products.”

Cattle Care

Not just a responsibility, but fundamental to our values and inherent in our character. We connect leaders and experts from gate to plate, helping them understand and implement the leading practices necessary to deliver high quality beef. We count on all members of the beef community to uphold the highest level of care.

Building a Legacy of Care

Cattle ranching is one link in the chain connecting those bringing quality beef to the table. “It’s neat to work in an industry with other people who are all doing their very best,” says Jennifer Christiansen of Springvale Ranch. “We’re not a big operation, but we do take a lot of pride in what we do.” Caring for cows is a legacy the Christiansens’ daugthers, Katelyn and Kara, plan to carry on.

Environment

Resources should be used mindfully, and everyone can contribute to positive change and a brighter future. As members of the beef community, it’s our privilege and responsibility to take good care of the land on which our livelihoods and community rely. We also support the conservation efforts of others in the beef community.

Sustaining a Heartland Ranch

“Most every day I feel like the luckiest guy in the world,” says Angus rancher Gordon Stucky of Kingman, Kan. “I feel like we can wake up every day and be happy with what we’re doing.” Hear how the second-generation rancher defines sustainability and success.

Those committed to the Angus breed, through the American Angus Association® and the Certified Angus Beef ® brand, know these pillars well. Together, they yield leadership. Our ranchers, employees and partners work to set and exceed these standards by giving our best. Our livelihoods and consumer satisfaction depend on it. In short: we take our responsibilities seriously and, in this way, we do more than raise Angus. We raise standards.
