Sirloin Pesto, Mushroom and Asparagus Pizza

The combination of steak, homemade pesto, morel mushrooms, and asparagus is simply incredible. Celebrate summer with this easy pizza recipe utilizing a pre-baked pizza crust.

  • 3/4 pound Certified Angus Beef ® top sirloin steak
  • 1/4 ounce fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 ounce fresh oregano leaves
  • 5 scallions
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 ice cube
  • 1 pre-made 12-inch pizza shell
  • 1/4 cup sliced morel mushrooms
  • 12 asparagus spears, peeled, blanched and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound shredded smoked mozzarella cheese
  1. Preheat oven to broil. Create pesto by mixing basil, oregano, 3 scallions, garlic, oil and ice cube in blender until fully combined.
  2. Season sirloin steak with salt and pepper and broil 1 minute on each side. Remove steak from heat and rest for 5 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain. Reduce oven to 450°F.
  3. Top pizza shell with pesto, mushrooms, asparagus, steak slices, and mozzarella. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
  4. Thinly slice remaining scallions and garnish. Cut and serve.
