Mushroom Cream Sauce

Serves 4

Mushroom Cream Sauce adds a delightful extra touch to steak, roast, or open-faced sandwiches. Super creamy with the goodness of fresh mushrooms and garlic.

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3/4 cup half-n-half cream

Instructions:

  1. Sauté mushrooms and garlic in 2 tablespoons butter in skillet over medium heat until tender. Remove from pan.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in skillet; stir in flour to make a paste. Combine broth and water; slowly add to paste, 1/4 cup at a time; simmer for 2 minutes; add salt and pepper.
  3. Add half-n-half; heat just until hot; do not boil. Serve immediately with prepared Certified Angus Beef® brand cut.
