Herb Meatballs

Serves 6
Make a delicious summer family dinner with this easy recipe for meatballs packed with fresh herbs and seasonings. Serve with pasta and your favorite tomato sauce.
  • 2 pounds Certified Angus Beef ® ground beef
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup soft breadcrumbs
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • Olive oil as needed
  • 6 servings hot, cooked pasta
  • 1 (26-ounce) jar prepared pasta sauce
  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. Thoroughly combine ground beef, ketchup, breadcrumbs, eggs, herbs and spices; shape into 2- inch balls, making 18 total. Heat olive oil in a large skillet. When oil is hot, sear meatballs until outside is uniformly brown.
  3. Transfer to baking dish, and bake in oven until meatballs are cooked throughout (160°F internal temperature), 20-30 minutes.
  4. Ladle sauce over pasta and serve 3 meatballs per plate.
