From days to minutes! Making old-school Italian beef can take days to prepare. We replace slow-cooked beef roast with high quality deli-sliced roast beef to make a sandwich that is full of flavor in a fraction of the time. Enjoy it dry, wet (spooned with gravy) or full-on dunked. Due to the messy nature of this sandwich, make sure to use hearty sandwich rolls to hold up to all of those juices.

  • 1 pound Certified Angus Beef ® deli roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 ounce) beef consommé
  • 2 teaspoons dried Italian herbs
  • 4 sub/hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup chopped giardiniera
  1. PREP. Bring consommé and 1/4 cup cold water to a simmer in large saucepan; stir in Italian herbs. Reduce heat to medium low, add roast beef to consommé and warm beef through.
  2. BUILD SANDWICHES. Place 1/4 of beef in each hoagie roll, top with 1/4 cup chopped giardiniera. Spoon extra consommé over each sandwich to serve them “wet” or in a side cup for dipping.
