Raw Beef and Seasoning

HOW TO PREPARE THE BEST ANGUS BEEF

Choose a cooking method below for instructional videos, expert tips and more. Each video features a Certified Angus Beef ® brand chef who explains the cooking method in detail. Watch and learn new ways to prepare beef in simple, easy to understand steps.

HOW TO ROAST BEEF

Early cooks roasted meat over an open flame. Spit roasting allowed a beef roast (think prime rib or rib roast) to be cooked more evenly. With the invention of the modern oven, however, roasting has never been easier.

From preheating the oven and seasoning to resting after roasting, learn how to cook the perfect beef roast, prime rib, rib roast or other Certified Angus Beef® brand cut. You’ll need a roasting pan and instant-read meat thermometer. To make it easier, use the Roast Perfect app.

THE BEST STEAK FOR GRILLING

Grilling is a fast and easy way to cook beef. High heat is applied directly to the surface of the beef, which sears the outside, creating a browned, flavorful crust.

From searing on a hot grill to flipping to resting, learn how to grill perfect beef cuts or burgers. Master the grill and your favorite Certified Angus Beef® brand steaks: ribeye, sirloin, strip, T-bone, porterhouse, filet mignon and more.

BRAISING IS AMAZING

Braising is a low and slow cooking method that begins with dry heat and ends with moist heat. Sear beef at high temperatures in a heavy-bottomed Dutch oven to attain a caramelized crust (dry heat), and then cover and finish cooking in a liquid at lower temperatures (moist heat).

From searing to adding vegetables to simmering low and slow for hours, learn how to braise beef and how to make a perfect pot roast. Choose your favorite Certified Angus Beef® brand cuts for braising on the stove or in a slow cooker.
