Steak Sandwich with Roasted Garlic Aioli and Arugula

Serves 4

Grilled steaks make awesome sandwiches. Fire up the grill to make this easy Steak Sandwich with Roasted Garlic Aioli and Arugula recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Certified Angus Beef ® flat iron steak or 2 (8-ounce) New York strip steaks
  • 1 head garlic
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 ciabatta rolls, buttered and grilled
  • 1 bunch arugula, washed and separated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cut top of garlic head to expose cloves, keeping head intact. Roast in a covered pan in oven for 1 hour. Remove from oven and cool.
  2. Squeeze roasted garlic from each clove. Blend together with mayonnaise, mustard and lemon juice to make aioli.
  3. Rub oil on steaks and season with salt and pepper. Place on grill over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill to desired doneness. Let steaks rest 5 minutes before slicing.
  4. Spread garlic aioli on roll and top with arugula and steak slices.
