Prime New York Strip Steaks with Romano Almond Crust

Serves 4
Prime New York strip steaks grilled and crowned with crispy buttery nutty cheesy deliciousness. Delight your guests with this elegant and easy recipe.
  • 4 (12-ounce) Certified Angus Beef ® Prime New York strip steaks
  • 1/3 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped toasted almond slivers
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup finely grated Romano cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Combine breadcrumbs, almonds, rosemary and butter. Cool slightly before adding Romano cheese; mix well.
  2. Brush each strip steak with olive oil and season with salt and pepper; place on hot grill. Halfway through cooking, flip and move steaks to the top shelf of grill and pack 2-tablespoons breadcrumb mixture onto each. Close grill and cook 4 more minutes so breadcrumbs become toasted and cheese melts. Remove from grill and serve.
