Cajun Steak

Serves 6


  • 2 pounds Certified Angus Beef ® ball tip steaks (3/4-inches thick)
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne


  1. Combine Italian seasoning, black pepper, salt, fennel seeds, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes and create an herb rub. Sprinkle both sides of steaks with seasoning and rub into the surface. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate two hours or overnight for bolder flavor.
  2. Place steak on grill over medium-high heat. Grill to desired doneness (125-130F for medium rare) Transfer steak to cutting board and allow to rest 5 minutes. Slice across the grain into thin strips.
