Rathbun Angus Ranch has been in the same family for generations. The 12,000-acre operation is mostly dry desert rangeland that receives less than seven inches of rain each year. To feed their cattle, the family uses irrigation to produce pasture, alfalfa, timothy and corn on 2,000 acres.
Between the crops and cattle, the Rathbuns keep busy. They both agree the benefits of raising a family on the ranch are priceless. “It’s a great place to live,” Greg says. “There’s a tremendous amount of enjoyment in producing something that is new to this world.”
Greg’s pride carries through to all aspects of the Rathbun operation – and the family strives to produce only the best. According to Greg, Angus cattle fit the bill for a premium eating experience. “We want to do a good job, take care of our customers, and market a high-quality product we can stand behind.”
Greg believes the Certified Angus Beef ® brand’s quality is unsurpassed. “When I buy it or recommend it to someone, whether at a restaurant or a grocery store, I’m confident they’re going to get a great steak every time.”
The Certified Angus Beef ® brand is raised by family-owned farmers and ranchers, like the Rathbuns, who are dedicated to producing the best beef.
