Thomas Angus Ranch has been producing top-quality cattle for over 60 years. Rob Thomas and his wife, Lori, took the reins from Rob’s parents about 20 years ago. Their hope is that some day son Ty and daughter Bryson follow suit.
The Thomas ranch is 4,000 acres of high-desert surrounded by mountains. The valley floor is irrigated and provides lush cropland and grass for the 1,000-cow herd. It’s cow country, Rob says, perfect for growing premium beef.
“Our philosophy has always been geared towards quality. It’s one of the reasons we’re such big believers in the Certified Angus Beef ® brand,” Rob says. “You always have a great eating experience with the brand. The product speaks for itself.”
In order to raise cattle, the Thomas family must first care for the land on which they roam. “What we do is something that feeds the world. We take a lot of pride in our product.”
Rob has created a way of life that mirrors the pride he takes in producing something extraordinary. “We offer something that consumers like and they want more of, and we’re doing it because of the pride factor – when our product goes off of our ranch we can say, ‘Yeah, we produced this and we’re proud to put it on America’s table."
