will be awarded!
Mick Colvin

Developed in 1999, when Louis M. “Mick” Colvin retired as the executive director of Certified Angus Beef LLC, the Colvin Scholarship Fund (CSF) recognizes his role in making dreams a reality and inspiring others to be their best. Colvin co-founded the program in 1978, leading it to provide the world’s leading brand of fresh beef. The scholarship fund benefits tomorrow’s leaders who are involved in their communities and the beef industry.

Seven scholarships totaling $40,000 will be awarded!

This year, $26,000 will be split among five undergraduate scholarships in the amounts of $7,500, $6,500, $5,000, $4,000 and $3,000. College juniors and seniors who have shown commitment to the beef industry, through either coursework or activities, are encouraged to apply by the Jan. 15, 2018, deadline. Applications are evaluated on involvement and scholastic achievement, communication skills and reference letters.

A $7,500 and discretionary $6,500 graduate-level scholarship will be awarded to deserving, full-time graduate students conducting research related to high-quality beef production. Applications for that award are due Jan. 15, 2018.

The top undergraduate and graduate scholarship recipients will win an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2018 Certified Angus Beef ® Annual Conference, September 26-28, 2018, in Maui, Hawaii!
